Job Description
This position involves delivery of nursing care based upon nursing process as well as some supervision and coordination of nursing personnel activities according to the hospital’s policies and procedures.
Position Responsibilities
*Delivery of clinical practice utilizing standards of practice and in accordance with the hospitals mission, vision & tenets
*Ability to work under limited supervision and to follow written and oral instructions
*Knowledge of biopsychosocial and spiritual aspects of human behavior ranging from infancy to geriatrics
*Familiar with organization and function of all units
*Ability to demonstrate effective communications skills, empathy, and unconditional positive regard toward all patients and co-workers
*Demonstrated leadership ability
*Establishes measurable yearly goals and objectives
*Promotes positive customer relations
*Compliance with organizational requirements, including policies, procedures and regulations specific to your unit
*Mechanism must be provided for contact of employee (ie beeper, telephone, emergency contact)
*Flexibility in schedule in order to meet the needs of the patients, community and staff
*Participates in performance improvement to improve patient outcomes
*Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Licensure/Certification
*Current licensure by the State of Tennessee as a Registered Nurse
*Current CPR, ACLS and PALS required within 18 months
*Knowledge of Basic arrhythmia
*Pediatric management course on hire or within 18 months
*Approved Critical Care course preferred
Education / Experience
*Clinical experience preferred
*Minimum of one year nursing experience preferred
Shifts: 7:00pm - 7:00am
7:00am - 7:00pm
