Harton Regional edical Center is pleased to welcome new Chief Executive Officer Matthew Roberts to the Administrative Team.
Matt comes to Harton Regional following his work as Chief Executive Officer at Odessa Regional Medical Center, a 196 bed acute care facility in Odessa, Texas. During his tenure, the hospital worked through several major construction projects and purchased a competitor facility that was consolidated into Odessa Regional.
Before coming to Odessa Regional, Roberts spent time in Port Arthur, Texas serving as the Chief Operating Officer for The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Roberts was part of the team that opened this facility as a replacement to two other facilities that were closed down in April of 2005. He also assisted with the remediation of the facility after extensive damage from Hurricane Rita in late 2005. He has an extensive background in healthcare, dating all the way back to 1997 when he was enlisted in the United States Navy serving as an Acute Care Director at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Roberts attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree as well as his Masters of Business Administration. He proceeded to Athens Regional Medical Center, a Lifepoint Hospital located in Athens, Tennessee, where he worked as an Administrative Intern before moving on to IASIS Healthcare.
The administration, medical staff and employees of Harton Regional Medical Center welcome Roberts to the team and look forward to a successful future ahead.
